Opening of Portal for Payment of School Fees & Registration of Returning Part Time students

This is to inform all Returning Part Time students who are yet to pay their school fees and complete their registrations that the portal will be opened between 8:00am on Tuesday April 1st and closes on 12:00 Midnight on Wednesday April 2nd, 2014.

All concerned students are hereby advised to seize this opportunity to make payment and complete their registrations as there will be no extension of the deadline.

Hostel Accommodation for Part Time Students

Arrangements have been concluded to provide hostel accommodation to part time students currently writing examination in the college.

Details:
Duration: Examination Period Only. (20th March 2014 to 6th April 2014)
Amount Payable: N5,000
Designated Bank: Skye Bank, Yabatech Branch



Procedure:
Collect a free form at the office of the HOD Welfare at the Student Affairs Unit. Submit the form at the same office, after it has been carefully studied, filled and signed for screening.

Successful applicants will pay at the designated bank, turn their teller to receipt at the bursary unit, and submit receipt at the student affairs unit for immediate processing and allocation. 

Note:
Squatting is not allowed
Limited spaces are available.

Yabatech Part Time 2013/14 First Semester Exams

As Approved by the Academic Board at the emergency meeting held on Monday February 24, 2014. Part time Exams is now to commence on Saturday March 15, 2014. Consequently, Online Registration and Payment has been extended to 12 Mid Night, Sunday March 2, 2014, & Submission of Course Forms to School Officers closes on Sunday March 9, 2014.

While wishing Students successes in the forth coming examination, I wish to stress that possession of Identity Card, Docket & Receipt of School Fees Payment is a condition precedent to ingress at examination venues.

College Portal Is Re-Opened To All Part-Time Students for Payment of School Fees

The college portal is re-opened for payment of school fees for part-time students. The portal was opened at 8.00am this morning and would remain opened until Friday 28, 2014. Part-time students who are yet to pay their fees are implored to take advantage of this last opportunity.

Please all part-time students should be reminded that:

1. On-line registration closes at 12 midnight on Sunday, March 2, 2014;
2. Submission of course forms ends on Sunday, March 9, 2014;
3. Examination commences on Saturday, March 15, 2014; and
4. Possession of identity card, Receipt of Fee payment and Docket is your entry VISA to examination venues.

Postponement of 2013/14 First Semester Part Time Exam

The Academic Board at its emergency meeting on Monday 24th February 2014 Approved the postponement of the part time exam by two weeks.

Consequently, the first semester exam for part time students will now commence on Saturday 15th March, 2014.

Students are therefore enjoined to take advantage of this shift in date to adequately prepare themselves for the exams.

Postponement of Part Time 2013/14 First Semester Exams

Consequent upon the agitation raised by some part time students for extension in the examination date and several dialogues between the students Union Government and The College Management on the same issue, the students Union Representatives pointed out several irregularities that tends to occur if the College Management decides to commence the exam on the scheduled date. 
Prior to this, the College Management at its emergency meeting with the union on February 22, 2014 Has decided to pend the commencement of the exam as schedule, the new date will be communicated to you all in due time.

Postponement Of Resumption Date For Full Time Students.

The Academic Board At Its Emergency Meeting Of 14th February, 2014 Resolved That The Resumption Date For Full-Time Students (2013/2014 Academic Session) Be Postponed Indefinitely In View Of The On-Going Nationwide Strike Embarked Upon By The Academic Staff Union Of Polytechnics (ASUP). All Full Time Students Are Advised To Stay Away From The College Premises Until Further Notice. This Circular Is Without Prejudice To The On-Going Part Time Programme.

Medical Screening For 2013/14 Full Time & Part Time Freshers

This is to inform all new students both full time and part time to report to the medical centre for their medical examinations. Please bring your school fee receipt for this purpose. 

The examination is compulsory for all students for their final clearance during the registration with their school officers. The time of operation is 9am to 3pm, Mondays to Fridays, While Saturdays are 9am to 12pm. The order of presentation is stated below:



Mondays:    School of Science
Tuesdays:   School of Art, Design & Printing Technology & School of Technology
Wednesdays:  School of Engineering & Vocational Education
Thursdays:  School of Environmental Studies & School of Liberal Studies
Fridays:  School of Management & Business Studies
Saturdays:  School of Management & Business Studies

This Exercise is from 6th of February 2014 to 4th of April 2014.

Close of First Semester Registration for 2013/14 Session

You will recall that registration closed on Sunday February 2, 2014.

Consequently Late Registration which attracts a penalty fee of N5,000 Only commences immediately and ends Finally on Sunday February 16, 2014 with the exception of candidates on the new list of admission released recently.
